The Lissos Gorge starts at the little harbour of Sougia and is a short but beautiful gorge. The gorge is rich in oleanders and at some points there is a bit of scrambling involved. Spectacular is the impressive overhanging wall with beautiful colours! The route through the gorge is also the way to walk to the ancient city of Lissos, a very interesting and magical place! Also there is the possibility to make a round walk and walk back along the Byzantine chapel of Agia Irini.
The route through the gorge is well marked with signs, E4 markings and red dots. These walks you find in our walking guidebook Discover Paleochora & Sougia... on Foot
