Asfendos Gorge

The Asfendos gorge is the next gorge east of the Imbros gorge and starts at the remote village of Asfendos. The gorge ends at the village Agios Nektarios at the south coast road. From the village Asfendos to Agios Nektarios the walk is ca 5 km long and on your way you still find parts of an old paved path (kalderimi). This gorge is also included in a round walk in combination with the Kalikratis Gorge (17 km) or as a longer walk starting from the Askifou plateau (12 km). These walks are described in several guidebooks.
